Postcard from H.D., Richardson and Odle to Bryher | Hotel Richemont, Montreux, Switzerland | 23 April 1924 | Page 2 of 2
From “the slopes of paradise”_ H.D.
Dorothy Richardson and her husband Alan Odle had been in Switzerland since the beginning of November 1923, and were spending a couple of weeks with H.D. in Montreux before returning home. This postcard to Bryher is signed by all three of them.
Alan Odle regularly drew pictures of elephants in his letters to H.D. and Bryher. Richardson was ‘the Puffin elephant’ and Odle was ‘the Sergeant elephant’.
